Kathleen Kennedy allowing Episode 7 and Episode 8 to be written independently without collaboration with the other has created this issue. The build up in Episode 7 and subsequent disaster that was TLJ has created a ripple that most fans can’t get over. If Disney wanted to clear out old characters to make way for new ones then so be it; but for them to do it so poorly and without any respect to the fan base is inexcusable.

Lifelong fan, born in 70 and saw New Hope in the theater when it was originally released. I have every movie but refused to buy TLJ and I have still not watched Solo. I'm Isute that I will when it's released on Red Box. I have NO problem with a female lead. I have 2 daughters and liked the idea and hoped this would actually make SW more interesting for them...although they liked TLJ (they didn't know the backstory) when it was released. They both like the OT the best and have said that they can't believe it's the same Luke. Kennedy needs to go as a failed CEO. She doesn't respect the established characters and has proven that she's NOT a fan of the franchise. Additionally, it's horrible how she and the staff publicly ridicule fans (that note specific issues). We just want a good and cohesive story that is just as intrested in attracting new fans and showing appreciation to those of us that have grown up loving this brand.
